While we were in the UK, we bought a map somewhere and were given a free Pig & Puffin activity pack to go with it. So I figured I'd give it to one of my nieces sometime. The time is now, and I decided to take a look through it before sending it off. There's a booklet with a story involving P & P. At one point they "carried on, following a bridal path until they came to a small rustic village."

Now I know rustic villages have all sorts of quaint customs, but dedicated wedding ways? You don't suppose that was meant to be 'bridle,' do you? Harumph.

Did you try googling it? I got 175,000 for "bridle path" and "43,500" for "bridal path", the first page of which appears to be almost entirely businesses using the name as a (deliberate, I hope) play on words.
