gardens, gardening, and rain
Apr. 21st, 2010 05:05 pmApril has been an intense month, and that's with little to no personal gardening happening! I've been teaching a 6-week vegetable gardening course (next week is the last class). Last Sunday was the Going Native Garden Tour which
spikeiowa & I volunteered for in the morning and toured in the afternoon. Tonight I'm teaching a class for LMV (the low-income gardening project). Saturday is the big planting day for LMV, 100 gardens to get planted. Much last minute coordinating happening for that.
And today it has been raining like hell all day long, the kind of dark & gloomy day that makes it hard to recognize that time is passing. But it is, so I guess I had better make some dinner before heading off to the class.
Oh lordy, I just got a call from the young program assistant. She was under the impression that the class started at 6:00 instead of 6:30, so that's what she's been telling all the families, while I've been telling my people 6:30. Oh well, we'll start whenever we start. But these people are driving me bananas!
