Haogen

There's an Israeli melon called Haogen (or possibly Ha Ogen or even just Ogen, but Haogen is the most common spelling). Supposedly it means 'The anchor' (though a mighty small anchor, since the melons average 1 1/2 - 2 lbs). My question is, how is the 'g' pronounced? Soft as in 'gene' or hard as in 'geek'? Anyone want to venture a guess?

I'm assuming the rest is fairly phonetic, as in 'hah oh gen' with a short 'e'. Um, any suggestions on stress? My guess would be on the 'oh', though it's easier for me to put it on the 'hah'.

They're quite tasty, btw. Link, if you're curious.
