Strange white dust

I just realized that the white dust I'm seeing on the porch and my car this morning is ash from the Santa Cruz mountain fire! There was a pretty impressive cloud and orange sunset last night.

Correction: It was actually from the Ventana Wilderness fire of the Los Padres National Forest, which is way down by Big Sur, not our local fire. Not sure if this is good or bad.
