I got a copy of The Glorious Foods of Greece by Diane Kochilas for my birthday and tonight made a "Thin Batter Pie with Feta and Zucchini." Yum! It's somewhere between a pie, a cake, and a quiche. I wonder if I can find occasion to make it again before the squash plants give up for the season. If you have the book and make it, you might want to know that I cut the recipe in half, baked it in a 9" pie pan, used 3 small zucchinis (which is probably more than intended, but we liked it) and used 2 eggs as called for in the full recipe (I figured it woudn't hurt, and it didn't),

I got the okay yesterday to stop wearing the support sandal on my right foot. Woohoo! Of course, this means that the toe is getting flexed whenever I walk, which is good, but it also means it aches most of the time. In fact, I get confused, if I'm not careful, about which foot to favor. I'm thinking this must be what having arthritis feels like.

My doctor suggested that I could use Neosporin Scar Solution silicon sheets to reduce the scar formation. I'm not sure I care particularly, but I decided to give them a shot. They're pricey, but you can cut them to size and you use each piece for 3-4 days, so it's not too bad. Supposedly they work on old scars too, if anyone out there has anything they want to get rid of.
