Cleaning frenzy
Jan. 3rd, 2007 08:51 amThere has been much cleaning here in the past month. Most of it was unimportant to any holiday guests or visitors, but it made me feel good to get things done. Piles of papers filed, random items dealt with, things put in the giveaway pile, a picture framed, 3 pictures hung, furniture dusted and waxed.
Although I fear the last was a mistake. I tried a different product on the furniture, something called Feed N Wax. I liked the effect much better than the Old English Oil; it seemed richer and deeper, not as surface slick. However, when I dusted yesterday with the feather duster, the furniture surfaces seemed to catch and drag on the feathers. Which suggests that they're slightly tacky and I suspect will also attract and hold onto dust. Did I make a horrible mistake using Feed N Wax?
