Anyone using Bento, Apple/Filemaker's simplified database? I'm experimenting with a trial version, and I think it'll do what I want. My main use is tracking my seed inventory, both current and past varieties.

I haven't used it, but I did use a previous Apple product of the same name. The original Bento was the storage format that OpenDoc used for its documents. I've heard that it was originally used in ILink, the MPW incremental linker, and then reused for OpenDoc. It's not the first time Apple has reused a name. Apple used to have a visual programming language for kids, originally named KidSim, which it branded "Cocoa" (this was just after Java came out), and is now called StageCast Creator.

I am planning to try it for one of my collection databases, currently an Excel spreadsheet.
