Week 2 of the pushups. I'm following column 1 and finding it easy, although last week I was plenty sore the next day, so I figure that's good enough. My form may even be improving.

In other news, the summer squash onslaught has begun (cue the music for The Sorceror's Apprentice). We grilled a big batch yesterday, I chopped up a bunch in a soup today, and I'm trying to pick them on the small side, although I swear they double in size overnight sometimes. But we're also harvesting a nice bowl of raspberries for breakfast daily, and it looks like the apricots will be ripening in a week or two.

[livejournal.com profile] magscanner has finished the patio under the deodar cedar and framed in the surrounding beds (it's beautiful!), so now I need to prep and plant those beds. Much excitement. We've also decided to put a succulent bed in the front, something I've been thinking about for years, and the time has finally come. Stay tuned, if you're interested.

Did I talk about planting okra in their individual greenhouses, aka Wall o'Waters? Well, I did. And they almost all germinated. I'm trying Perkins Long Pod and Stewart Zeebest this year, as well as the reliable hybrid Cajun Delight. Don't tell me you hate okra until you've tried them grilled, okay?
