Five random things:
Jan. 27th, 2008 10:13 pm1. We had Thai food for dinner tonight with our neighbors at our new, local Thai restaurant. Very good, except the tables are rather cramped. We'll happily go back, or at least get take out. Nice addition to the neighborhood.
2. I'm almost ready for class #2 of sustainable veggie gardening. Topic: water & weeds. It's fun!
3. It was balmy yesterday, in the 60s, with even some watery sun. Cold & rainy again today, though.
4. Our neighbors have heard a banshee howling at night sometimes too. What could it be?
5. The Slow Cooked Duck with Green Olive Sauce in Paula Wolfert's Slow Mediterranean Kitchen is to die for! It's slow roasted/baked for 3 1/2 hrs at 275. It was incredibly tender and succulent. Yum.
