We're having a record-breaking rain here, which is to say, any at all. It's been enough to thoroughly wet the pavement, so it may make it to the 1/100th of the inch mark required to actually count.

In other news, I just spent far too much time shelling dried black garbanzo beans. The shells popped addictively under my fingers, like bubble wrap, but in the end, the net total is pathetic. Plus I don't even know if I'll like them cooked. Black hummus, anyone?
