Party's over

The party's over, and it was excellent. The first person showed up at 4:15, followed shortly by several others, so my fears about no one coming were laid to rest. All of the smoked chicken was eaten. All of the fizzy waters (2 flats, twice what we normally get!) were drunk. Many fabulous conversations were had. A couple of house tours and a couple of garden tours were conducted. We had a surprise visit from the local power company, though no actual power outage this year. But there's a transformer one yard away from us that's poised to go, so we should expect an morning visit from a crew.

So it's 12:15 a.m. It was a great party. Clean up is mostly done. But it's still 85 friggin' degrees outside! This is unreal. I've heard today set a record high, and this has got to be a record high for a low. We may have to try that wet sheet tip tonight in order to sleep.
