Jin Patisserie
Mar. 6th, 2006 02:29 pmA while ago I extravagently ordered a box of gourmet chocolates after reading about
gerisullivan's chocolate odyssey, then reading an article praising Jin Patisserie. They do divine chocolates, divine in both flavor and appearance. We particularly liked the Thé du Hammum (green tea with citrus fruit and flower petals) and Thé de Concubine (green & black tea, caramel, papaya, & flower petals). Chocolate and tea have surprising and interesting resonances. The Ginger, Passion Fruit, and Mango Kalamansi were delicous too. The Pandan, alas, was too subtle, at least for us. Maybe we need to know what pandan tastes like first.
Would I do it again? Maybe not. Their shipping prices are high, though I managed to convince them they could just use UPS Ground for me since I was in California and would receive it in 2 days. But next time we're in Santa Monica, I'll stop in!
